While all special event rentals take place in the beautiful gardens, the historic house is available for guided tours (with additional fee).

Grumblethorpe may accommodate parties up to 150 guests with tent rental required to insure against inclement weather.

Fees/Prices:  For up to 10 hours
Dinners, Receptions, and Cocktail Parties: $2,000

Please note that we no longer rent the space for weddings. 
Tent rental fees are not included.

An $1,000 security deposit must be paid at the time of booking to reserve your date. The separate rental fee is to be paid in full 30 days before the date of the event.


Personal Liability Insurance:  Proof of personal liability insurance including host liquor liability (listing the Philadelphia Society for the Preservation of Landmarks as additional insured) is required in an amount of no less than $1,000,000.00 covering the use of the Powel House in the form of a Certificate of Insurance or a letter from Licensee’s insurer advising of such coverage thirty (30) days before the event.
