Kayla Anthony

Executive Director

Kayla Anthony joined PhilaLandmarks in 2017 and has served as Executive Director since 2019. Under her leadership, PhilaLandmarks has strengthened its commitment to preservation, historical scholarship, educational programming, and innovative interpretation while expanding community partnerships and broadening public engagement with Philadelphia's history. She has appeared on C-SPAN to discuss Elizabeth Willing Powel in collaboration with George Washington’s Mount Vernon.

A recipient of a U.S./U.K. Fulbright Study Award, Kayla earned an MA in Heritage Management from Queen Mary University of London in partnership with Historic Royal Palaces. Her research explored how historic houses interpret women’s influence and agency, an interest that informs her work at PhilaLandmarks.
