Kayla Anthony
Executive Director
Kayla Anthony has served as Executive Director of the PhilaLandmarks since 2019, having joined the organization in 2017.
Under her leadership, PhilaLandmarks has strengthened its commitment to preservation, historical scholarship, educational programming, and innovative interpretation while expanding community partnerships and broadening public engagement with Philadelphia's history.
Kayla is completing a master's degree in Heritage Management at Queen Mary University of London as a Fulbright U.S. Study Award recipient. Her Fulbright research, undertaken in partnership with Historic Royal Palaces, explores innovative approaches to interpreting women's history in historic house museums. She has lectured and appeared on C-SPAN on the life of Elizabeth Willing Powel in partnership with George Washington's Mount Vernon. Her professional interests focus on making historic places more meaningful and accessible through interpretation, public engagement, and the reinterpretation of women's history in historic house museums.
